Compassion & Courage

Imagine by A Perfect Circle on Grooveshark

I pinned this image early in the week and really wanted to share it with you. I found it so beautiful. I also watched this amazing film called Peaceable Kingdom, which a person in the film used the quote,...

"It takes courage to think outside of the box."

It seriously hit me to my core. Such a simple sentence, yet with such a strong message. I am so thankful for my life. I am so thankful that I have opened my mind to new things and ideas. This journey we call LIFE is really something amazing. If I only I could float over the ocean on a swing using a cloud to hold me up. I guess a hot air balloon ride is the closest I'll ever get. ;) It feels so good to have my heart full of love and compassion for all living beings everyday. My heart smiles now.

Have A Great Weekend!

  1. I am so happy for you. I've always felt like you were a happy person with a lot of joy in you.. but it seems live over the last year or so, you've been extra happy. I imagine you must still go through tough times, but I can really see your joy and the love you have for things. I hope to feel happier some day soon. Please move to Georgia and share your joy. We have great weather here. LOL. If only it was that easy, huh?

    1. B, you are so sweet. Thank you. I actually had a really ruff week, but by the end of it I was able to put things back into perspective. :) If I could move that easy, I would. Trust me. Maybe someday our military lives with cross paths. LOL

  3. I really appreciate this image! I have a post I'm working on about being "different" and how different is normally not accepted and my thoughts on that. So thanks for reminding me that I'm not alone. :)

    1. I can't wait to read it!!! I am struggling with being "different" right now. You have a great way with words so I am sure it will cheer me up!

    2. Awww, that is so sweet of you to say and means a great deal to me! Thanks Jessie! If it makes you feel better, I have been having that struggle my whole life. For a good while I would accept that others do not accept my being "different" and then something would come up that would make me cognizant of their differences and their unwillingness to accept mine. It happens but the last time that "I care what others think" came up I squashed it (but after a good cry because, hey, I'm human). :)

    3. I try really hard to be like, "I don't care what people think about me", but I tend to just cry it out. Like you said, we are only human after all. There is nothing wrong with being sensitive. :) I think I will get better about letting things not get me down, but I will always be sensitive to people not liking me or getting me.

  6. It's always good to remember that!! After a few years of doing the easy, "safe" classes in college, I'm taking more creative ones. It's hard to force myself to think outside of the box!! I guess it's true when people say that creativity is a muscle that you need to always exercise!

    1. Yes, thinking outside the box can be in every aspect of our lives. It's good to challenge ourselves to change! If we don't, we don't grow as people. And that's not fun, is it? ;) Thanks for your comment Mackenzie.

  7. I came here to find your email and send you a quick question. In the process, I ran across this post and thought 'THAT is why I went on a Spotify listening spree the other day!'. No joke, I searched and listened to every version of 'Imagine' I could find after reading this. :P
