Of course I did some online research and found some sites that say you CAN paint tile. I hate this green tile so much,...there is no way in hell I will be able to leave it alone. If I think somethings ugly, I have to change it!! Any advise? (still don't know if we have the house or not, should know this week!)
Still crossing my fingers that you get that fab house...but can't help you with these tiles. I've never painted tile before.
ReplyDeletei have heard that painted tile always comes out poorly. however, might i suggest glazing your tiles as an economical alternative to ripping them down...we had miracle method do ours almost 3 years ago and it has been great. we did just the tile surround around the wall (not the tub, which was in good shape).
ReplyDeletei've painted tiles before on a clients project, or should i say had them painted by a professional, but they turned out great and has yet to look anything but great. they coated the tiles with something and spray painted over them with some water proof paint. if you ask painters, they can give you a better idea of how it's done correctly. g'luck!

I actually planned on getting the tub recoated. I met a guy at the last home show I did,..and he seems to not have high prices. I think I will have him give me some advise. Or have him do it!! :)

hi, i´m writting you from Spain, so maybe you can´t find the paint I used but I guess there will be another brands you can find. The thing is that I painted by myself my bathroom tiles and it became great. You can,t even notice that it´s painted, It totally seems that it´s the original color. They were ugly green, and I painted in white. It looks great but I don´t know how long they will last because I just did it two months ago. I recomend you to try it out.
