At The Moment

At The Moment march2013 flowers

LOVING // All the positive things I have been feeling. Life has been blah and a bit complicated lately. However I find myself dealing with things so much better. My compassion for people and myself has grown a lot in the few months. I am able to let things bounce off better. Which I have never been good at in the past. I'm not letting stress keep me up at night and I am able to calm myself down in stressful situations.

HATING // That some people just love to create drama. That even though I am in my thirties, drama still finds me. Adults that act like high school children annoy the heck out of me. Life is too short to fight with each other. Just move on if you don't like something or someone. Simple solution.

REALIZED // I can officially no longer drink alcohol of any kind. After only two glasses of wine last week, I spent my night in the bathroom. You can use your imagination to fill in the blanks. Drinking for me is a rare thing. Last year I also experienced the same problem after only 2 shots of rum. My body totally rejects it now. Which honestly I am totally okay with. I won't miss it a bit.

LOOKING FORWARD 2 // Spring of course. Long bike rides. Green grass. Beautiful flowers. Planting things in the dirt. Meeting some new people through cycling. A lot to look forward to this Spring and Summer.

LISTENING // I am digging Green Day's newest album. I started listening to them back in 1994. I was in the 8th grade! I've been a fan ever since. I remember how a lot of kids back then hated them and teased me for liking them so much. HA! Look at them now, they are still playing and making music that I love.

WATCHING // We just finished watching the entire first season of House of Cards on Netflix. It's a political drama that basically just sucked us in. Kevin Spacey plays the main character in the show. It really hits the nail on the head with how corrupt our government can be. I loved it and hope they don't take too long to make Season 2! We watched like 6 hours worth of episodes one day. (Don't judge me. lol)

What have you been up to??

  2. Gorgeous image! There's something really refreshing about Spring coming in, isn't there? I love how it can shift my perspective and my mood. I always find that I deal with upsetting things better this time of year. I love it when the fog of the winter months starts to lift.

  3. House of cards looked pretty good, I should give it a go! Glad to hear you're feeling better about people in general- that's a tough one! I'm constantly trying to have empathy and be kind, it isn't quite natural yet. A great thing to remember about "drama" is that people who create can only affect themselves and you control what affects you. I think there's a quote that says something a long the lines of no one can hurt/annoy/intimidate you. Only you can do that.

    1. You are so right! Thanks for your advise. Another thing to keep in the back of my mind. I haven't been letting the drama in my life, so I guess I am doing what your advise says. :) I believe in killing people with kindness and silence can be golden.

  4. I have to say, I'm really glad that I have very few friends because I have zero drama in my life. I love living drama free. If I find someone starts to get that way then I back away and leave. My husband's family is very drama laden so I just don't bother with them, and heck neither does he. It's also one reason I love Facebook, to be free of drama because it's filled with it.

I have been meaning to watch House of Cards. I'm a huge Kevin Spacey fan and I love anything that shows just how corrupt our government is.

  5. Green Day, yes! I've had the same kind of love for them since I first heard them in middle school. I haven't really heard much from their latest album, but I will soon.

And House Of Cards? Totally going to get the guys into that since it sounds so intriguing.
