I thought it would be fun to ask some of my fellow bloggers how they felt about Disney! Most everyone has a favorite movie, character or has been to one of the Disney Parks! I asked them to answer some Disney related questions and talk about their experience at a Disney park. Check out what they had to say:
At first I thought that I would answer that I was most like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, just because we are both avid readers. Then, for fun, I took an online quiz that told me I was actually more like Pocahontas. I read the reasons why and I totally agree! It said that Pocahontas is "a playful, free spirited young woman who knows every tree, waterfall, and wild creature in her forest home. With a name that means 'little mischief', Pocahontas loves adventure and excitement. Her curiosity and independence make her a strong girl whose passionate spirit touches and changes all those who know her." That's very much like me!
Disneyland holds a special place in my heart because I would travel there every summer with my sisters and our dance troupe. For nine years we danced as Magic Music Days dancers at Disneyland and had a total blast. It was a great experience and we have a lot of fun memories of our time there together.

My favorite character has to be Ariel. I've been a life-long lover of being in the water and was quite the fish growing up. I've also had super long hair my whole life, so when The Little Mermaid came out, I was instantly hooked. I fell in love with Ariel in no time. My entire room was Ariel themed. I had Little Mermaid shirts, dresses, PJs, bed spreads, dolls, you name it. To this day I still love Ariel and The Little Mermaid. Definitely my favorite Disney movie! I just love her need for adventure. I've always admired that about her!
My favorite park at Disney World is Epcot. It didn't interest me when I was little, but now that I'm older, I'm a huge fan. They showcase a ton of different countries and you can try new food which is always fun. It's a great way to experience a new country without leaving the states. :)

I'm unfortunately going to have to alter this question a little. I don't really think it is possible to have a favorite Disney movie: Up, Wall-E, and Classics like the Aristocats, Hercules, and Flubber can not be put on the same scale! So I will tell you my favorite Disney Princess movie! Who doesn't love Disney Princesses? I mean c'mon! They're wonderful role models and come in multiple ethnicities. I have to say my most favorite Disney Princess, even after seeing Brave, which I almost switched because she's so wonderful, is Rapunzel from Tangled. Rapunzel is as kind as Snow White, but she's artistic and crafty like me. Her hair, let's be honest, is completely gorgeous and who doesn't love seeing her most adorable companion, Pascal? Although Rapunzel is a relatively new princess in the Disney world, she adds a bunch of spunk! The story line was fantastic. A stolen lost princess cast away in a tower, much like Fiona in Shrek and Aurora, except she's not sleeping and there is no kiss to wake her up. I just love Rapunzel, we'd be excellent friends. She has a wonderful voice and is genuinely curious to explore new things. She's brave and most important, kind to everyone she meets!
I went a very long time ago when I was about 6 or so. I remember "It's a Small World" ride, I thought that was the best. Sitting my mother and watching the little town come to life with that catchy tune! Also the Peter Pan ride was amazing to me! It really looked as you were high up in the sky! I am so desperately wanting to go again! I just can't wait!

Without a doubt, my favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. While there are other movies that have come out since that I really enjoy, this one will always hold a special place. As a kid, I seriously watched this movie everyday...I loved it so much! I think part of this love came from living in Hawaii for a short time, and going to the ocean everyday. I wanted to be a mermaid so badly!
I have been to Disney Land once, and Disney World once as well. I visited Disney World just a few years ago with my family, and it was such a great time! My sister and I were total dorks and visited the princess tent right when it opened, and got pictures with all the princesses (except Ariel). It was hilarious being two teenage girls in a line of 3-10 year olds. We felt...super cool. Haha. One of my favorite things about going to the parks was collecting all the signatures, so we just had to do it!

My favorite Disney character of all time is has to be Dumbo, I remember watching Dumbo over and over as a child, being mesmerized by the story and the songs. I think as an artist i really appreciate the oldies, where you can literally see the hours of work that went into drawing each line and painting every inch, i definitely think that subconsciously Disney has been one of my biggest inspirations as an illustrator. I was always totally entranced by The Pink Elephants On Parade scene where Dumbo gets drunk. You can always rely on classic Disney to really make you ponder and think "WHAT THE F*CK?". You just don't get that kind of crazy in the new movies.
Sadly i haven't, although i would love to one day. Me and my sister always used to try to persuade our mum and dad to take us, but to no avail. I'll let you know if i do! Maybe that can be my next Holiday, hmm.

Hello, my name is Lisa and I blog over at Little Lovables. Thanks, Miss Jessie for asking me to participate! Knowing my favorite movie is really difficult. But I think it has to be The Little Mermaid. I randomly sing the songs, oh, just about all the time. I quote the movie on a regular basis. My husband gives me weird looks when I wake up and say, "King Triton must be, in a friendly type mood!"... in full, exaggerated old pirate man voice. My sister is the only one who gets me, because she is also a Little Mermaid quoter. I also really love the new Tangled and Brave films. My sis and I both are clowns and stuff. We both face paint and do balloons, and little girls ask for Ariel more than any other princess. So yes, I have a pretty kick'n Ariel balloon. One day, I would love to heft my little family of five to a Disney theme park. But with things called bills and everything, I don't know if it will happen until they are teens. By then the magic may wear off... but I hope not! ahhhhh, ahhhhhhhh, ahhhhhh "keep singing!" ah-ah-ahhhhha...
Me and Disney go way back. I'm a child that loved watching the old films, like Mary Poppins, Swiss Family Robinson, Summer Magic, Pete's Dragon and all that stuff. Then, when The Little Mermaid came out, I was a little too 'cool' for it, but my mom babysat a little girl who watched it about 5 times a day. And I secretly LOVED it. I have alwasy been tiny. Well... not so much now that I've had three kids. ahem. But when I was younger, I was called Chip (like the chipmunk) because I had got chipped tooth from a ballet injury as a youngin', (as in I was dragged around on the concrete by some older girls and my face went 'splat!'). As a teen, I was called Tink, I guess because I was just soooo cute and adorable and pixie like. By the way, does anyone remember girls thinking that Simba was "hot"? Oh, 8th grade, how I don't miss you.
As an adult, I still love Disney. I sometimes get my knickers in a twist about the Mother's Against Disney (why ARE Disney moms mostly dead or evil?), and I have an opinion on over commercialism and all that, but not enough to be a boycotter of ALL Disneyness. My husband went on a business trip last year and Disney was literally right across the street. He wasn't going to go, but I convinced him too, I mean, when would the next opportunity come? He spent a day there traipsing around with his boss. He said he enjoyed Space Mountain. I went to Disney once, probably when I was about 12 or so? I also loved Space Mountain. I really loved the I Love Lucy and Alfred Hitchcock exhibits. Also, some of the rides were awesome, like King Kong. I don't really remember much. I was disappointed because there weren't many neat characters walking around that day, it was like Donald Duck and the Chipmunks... no princesses :(. And it was gay day and my dad got hit on by a couple wearing neon fanny packs and short shorts with belly exposed shirts. Oh, the 90's and my anticlimactic personality that remembers the important stuff.
