These photos we taken last weekend while we were out antiquing. Above you can see me looking at a cute crocheted blanket. I didn't buy it but wish I would have. It was only $4! I love all the colors. I wish I could make blankets like that. (Maybe someday!) Our main reason for going antique shopping was to hunt for a dresser for our bedroom. I've been looking for a few months now and have had no luck at all. The search continues!



Can you believe that I do not own Micky Mouse ears? Craziness!
They are expensive at the parks, but I may treat myself our next vacation!

What I Wore #16 {Snow in the Spring}

I really had hoped to do an outfit post in the snow this year.
I just didn't expect it to be while I was in Ohio visiting family and friends.
Luckily I packed some winter clothes, since Spring doesn't seem to want to stick around and stay.


The above acorn necklace was a gift from the lovely Aubrey.
I thought it worked perfect with this outfit.


I took these photos at my parents house. It's a very peaceful place out in the country.
Believe it or not, my hair is pink in these photos. The dye was just too light to notice really. I plan to try again.

Our trip is going well so far. Sorry for the lack of comments and delay on replies from me. We are keeping very busy. Lots of people to visit and things to do while we are here! It was fun putting this on the blog now instead of waiting! The weather looks to be getting a little warmer for the next few days. I know we are all ready for Spring!!

What I Wore #15

I am so in love with my new hot air balloon dress. I feel super girly in it. The dress is from eShakti and it was custom made to my measurements. When ordering from them you can even change the length of your dress. I ordered my dress in the "short" length. (Talk about not being able to bend over!) I am loving the vintage style and bright colors! I've never really worn anything like this dress before. Feels good to leave my comfort zone. AND yes I wear Converse with dresses!!!!!!

Maybe Converse with dresses isn't for everyone, but it works great for me. While I was taking my photos today I realized why I like doing outfit posts so much. It's simple: I get to dress up. I get to be girly. I wear jeans and dress plan everyday to work. It's nice to put on a dress and twirl around. I always wonder if people think it's weird that blogger's do outfit posts? Then I thought to myself, "Whatever. I'm having fun."

What I Wore #14

Me with glasses, what do you think? I have needed new glasses for awhile now. The glasses I was wearing were around 8 years old. I only wore them to bed and around the house. A few weeks ago I had fallen asleep with them on. When I woke up I found them completely crushed under my pillow. This wasn't the first time they had been damaged either. Let's just say super glued was involved in repairing them many times. So you may be wondering are there any CONS? My glasses are tight on my head. I am hoping that I can use the little tool that came with the glasses to fix it or that over time they will loosen. I know that I personal have this problem a lot with sunglasses I purchase. The good thing about Firmoo is they want to know if you aren't completely satisfied with your glasses. I am in love with my glasses. I had fun wearing them for the first time today taking these photos. I just need to adjust them, hopefully.

I haven't been feeling very inspired lately. I've been having some blogger's "block". You know, like writer's block. Been tired and sick of winter. This morning I was reading some of my favorite blogs and stumbled across a post by Michelle of Cafe Nervosa. She had posted a photo of herself wearing kitty cat shoes and tights. I fell in love with her shoes. Then I realized that I do not own any clothing with cats on it!! This needs to change!!! I visited the Mod Cloth website and picked out some of my favorite cat related items...

These photos are a few weeks old now. We had a mild day and decided to head to the park and snap some pictures.
I love living close to a park. I will probably be doing lots of outfit posts here.
I just really look forward to flowers and green grass again. By the way, I love the colored pants from OLD NAVY!


Chloe hadn't been to the park in a long time. She was so overwhelmed with all the smells.

I have to show my love for California as often as I can. :)

Yes that is a real plane in the sky. There are planes in the sky all the time because of the Air Force base. I hope to get some good shots of plans landing and taking off this summer. Just haven't had a chance yet. I miss the green grass and warmer weather. I know it's just a few months away. I can make it! Have I mentioned that we are planning a huge road trip vacation to California this summer? I want to check out some National Parks. Have you been to any, if so what are your favorites???

What I Wore #12

Over the weekend the sun came out and finally melted away some of the snow. I have been dying to take more outfit posts outdoors. It's almost always windy outside all year round making it hard to do so. We took our chances and stopped by our favorite park to snap a few quick photos. I am in love with my mustard yellow jeans! I still don't know if I really like the gray sweater with the yellow. I do however think my owl necklace was perfect. I love him.


Someone had fed this squirrel some peanuts. He was so happy!


Cody always makes me laugh when he takes my photos. What you don't see are all the outtakes.
Most of them are me yelling at him saying,"Take good pictures! They are for the blog!"
He always responds,"I'm not a photographer!"
We just laugh about it and then at least we get some natural smiles if anything.

I started doing these photos with my hair down and didn't like it. Up in a bun it went. Cody just dyed my roots for me. I love it up in a ponytail when its freshly done. It looks so pretty! I am so in love with my sweater. I just got it last weekend on my birthday. I got a lot of stuff actually and I am sure it will all appear on the blog sooner or later. I am still uncomfortable in front of the camera. Even with this being outfit post #11!

If you saw my 32 Things Before 32 List I had put down TAKE LOTS OF SELF PORTRAITS. I am just trying to get more confident in front of the camera. Plus I figure someday when I am old and gray I will be glad I took all these silly photos! ;)

Fashion Friday: ROXY

The other day I was shoe shopping and fell in love with a pair of Roxy booties. (pictured below) I haven't been able to stop thinking about them ever since. Why didn't I purchase them you may ask? They didn't have my size! Also, the smallest size they have is a 6. I usually wear a size 5 or smaller, my feet are super tiny. I was browsing on the Roxy website and fell in love with a few other things....

Isn't the chevron dress to die for?? I don't know if it would fit me right. I think I will stalk it for awhile to see if it ever goes on sale!! I have probably only owned a few shirts from Roxy my entire life. I pick things up at discount stores here and there. They do have really cute stuff. What I Wore #10

Last weekend the weather wasn't too cold in the afternoon, so I totally took advantage of being able to look cute without my winter coat! We spent the day visiting some thrift shops and antique stores. Here is what I wore....


The only thing new in this outfit is the $2 Union Jack tank. I just bought it off the clearance rack. I was so excited to find it! It's actually the first time I've ever wore sequins in my life. The clearance racks are usually the only place I shop, unless the prices in the store are overall fair. (Like a store like TJ Maxx.)


We took my outfit photos at my favorite antique store in town. I have a feeling most of my furniture in the future is going to come from this place. They always have great vintage pieces at fair prices! I am in love with this blonde vanity. The 3pc set which includes the vanity, bed frame and dresser is on $350! It may be mine, we'll see...


This was also my first time wearing shorts over tights. I think the look is cute and couldn't wait to wear it myself. I am so glad I am forcing myself out of my comfort zone. I still am having trouble walking around town "looking stylish" or different. Every time we walked by someone wearing a cowboy hat, I thought to myself," I wonder what they are thinking about my outfit?" I stand out in this town with my platinum blonde hair, that's for sure. It's a cowboy/old fashioned town and they know when, "You Ain't From Around Here Are You"!?!?!
