As you can see I have been staging some toys in my office. It's been fun, but a lot of work as well.
I have decided not to display my entire collection because it's just too much for the space.
We still have to build our desks and hang a lot of stuff on the walls.
And a random photo of Norman being Norman. He is loving the office.
He just sits on the chair and purrs while I blog. He really brings sunshine into my life. :)
Kitty started a Photo101 Series over on her blog.
Also check out Katherine's post for beginners HERE. Lots of great info! I plan to read them all over and over and take notes!!!
I think by the end of this year I will start to "get" it.
Holy moly... that is sooo cool. The picture with Buttercup is the best. Can't wait to see more of your camera experiments.
ReplyDeleteThe Buttercup really POPPED!!!!!!
DeleteI also have a beginner's photo tips thing here : http://www.ofcorgisandcocktails.com/search/label/photography I try and write it so it makes sense, I think a lot of the terms are really weird. There is a glossary to start off with!
ReplyDeleteAnd keep playing! You'll start to figure out what you like and you'll grow the more you take!

Yes, I do think I remember reading your post and I think I featured it here on my blog a month or so back. I am going to add your link above as well. :) The more help I have the better!!!!!!! I think you are right, playing is key. I'm a very hands on learner.
DeleteThose pictures are so cool! So glad to see this photo101 series. I'm going to check it out. I get super overwhelmed when it comes to learning new things about our camera. I'm one of those people who couldn't read a manual to save her life. haha.
ReplyDeleteIt really is overwhelming. I have a photographer friend who tries to example things to me and it's as if he's speaking another language. LOL
DeleteLoving the small hints of color, excellent job for the contrast and everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!! It's really fun. I look forward to use it outdoors with flowers.
DeleteWow, that's freaking awesome! I wish I had that feature! And I definitely have to make work of getting to know my camera! xo
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you don't have the feature??? ;) I'm kidding. It's just crazy how I found it on total accident. I can't wait till spring to get outdoors with my camera!!
DeleteWhat is the inside of the bookcase lined with (with the quotes n stuff), is that wallpaper? Whatever it is, it's totally cool!
ReplyDeleteThe bookcase is actually that design. It's not paper. It was a limited edition Billy Bookcase from IKEA. :) I snagged one up as soon as they put them out. I love all the quotes on it.
DeleteYou camera sounds very cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Now I need to learn more. You take lovely images. I enjoy all your photos on your blog! :)
DeleteI have seen you do it before but you really know how to stage a bookshelf. Too cute, especially that paper.
ReplyDeleteThanks. So sweet of you to say, I'm blushing. :) It takes me a while. I'm very OCD about it.
DeleteOooo these pictures were so much fun to look at and I especially love that pattern on your shelves!
ReplyDeleteThey are fun! I think that's why I decided to post them. :) I can't wait to keep trying other things with my camera!! The bookcase is a favorite of mine.
DeleteWow! This is SUCH a cool camera effect! What kind of camera do you have?
ReplyDelete{Em♥teatreevintage.blogspot.com}
Thanks EM! My camera is a Canon SX30 IS
DeleteWe have so many of the same toys! We're truly children of the 80s!
ReplyDeleteLOL Yes, 80's all the way!!!!!
