WATER FOR ELEPHANTS

Have you seen Water for Elephants? Cody and I watched it last month and we were both shocked at how GOOD we both thought it was!! I think we thought it was going to be a huge chick flick! It wasn't though. It's a sweet love story, but also a very inspiring story about following your dreams.
Of course I love Robert Pattinson! I enjoyed seeing him in something besides Twilight! I think a lot of people don't like him because they hate Twilight, which is sad. He really is a good actor and he proves that in Water for Elephants.

This movie isn't just a love story. Really it's more about how the old time Circuses were run. It's definitely a tearjerker, so be ready with some Kleenex. Reese Witherspoon is also amazing in the movie. It's rare for me to find a movie with both an actor and actress in it that I actually love.

Water for Elephants is a great movie! I plan to read the book soon now that I have a job with an 1 hour lunch break!!

Homes used in the Twilight Films

Yes this is a Twilight post. You are either excited or rolling your eyes. I was doing a google search for Robert Pattinson when photos of the house used in the Twilight movie came up. Maybe you aren't a fan and you have never even seen the movies. Well the house is a beauty! The house is actually called "The Hoke House", owned by John Hoke, designed by Sklab Architecture.

The first Twilight movie is my favorite. The more I watch the newer films, I dislike them. I love the first one because it is low budget and I felt it was more true to the story. One of my favorite things in the house is the staircase.

The staircase leads to Edward's bedroom. I dream of having a house with this many windows!

The kitchen is nice and open!

Until today, I had no idea that a different house was used in New Moon. Duh. I feel dumb. I have watched the movies a million times and never caught it. I assumed they used the same house in all the films. Of course in New Moon, there aren't really a lot of "Cullen" scenes. This home was on the market for 3 million dollars!

Then I find out that they just build a house in a sound set now. Wouldn't it had just been cheaper to purchase the house above for $3 million and be done with it? lol I guess I don't make movies, so I don't understand how stuff works. It's not like they couldn't of sold it and got the money back.

Well I went and saw Eclipse on Monday night with Cody. I really enjoyed it. It was amazing how FAST paced the movie was. Speeding through an 800 page book in 2 hours. I think they stayed true to the book for the most part. I enjoy reading the book better, but love seeing Robert Pattinson on the big screen. {DREAMY} I have to say that I really think Kristen Stewart is a good actress. It makes me sad to hear all the mean comments people say about her. I hope she goes on to do great things after the Twilight movies are over.

Design Plan for My Bathroom

I would love to redecorate my tiny bathroom that is tucked away in my bedroom.



Sadly the ceiling and some of the walls are damaged by the leaking roof. Our roof has been nothing but a headache since we bought the house!!! Hopefully we can get it fixed in the spring and I will be able to design my "new" bathroom. I want dark purple walls with pops of white! I think black and white photos of Edward Cullen would be pretty! ; ) My bathroom is a light pink color currently. Now that I have my pink office, I don't really want pink walls anywhere else in the house. My husband is very happy about this! lol (But he could go with out the Edward pictures,...but its MY bathroom!)

Joining the Twilight Bandwagon

I hate to admit this.......



But I guess I joined the "Twilight Bandwagon". I decided to rent the first movie the other night to see what the big deal was!! Well, I am sucked in now. I started reading the first book and I already went and saw New Moon. lol I don't like to read. It is rare for me to find something I can't sit down. With it being cold outside now and dark at 5pm, it is nice to crawl into bed with a book!
