IKEA Bedding

I know not everyone loves IKEA as much as I do. I know alot of people are obsessed, others want anything but IKEA stuff in their homes. I for one really like IKEA bedding because its affordable. If you get sick of it, or perhaps a cat pukes on it, it can be replaced without spending an arm and a leg.




This is a new bedding from IKEA, HULDA RUND. (I still do not have the 2008 catalog!) Last night was the first time I saw it on their website. I think this is the bedding I want for my Masterbedroom.



I can't wait to hang my Monroe Warhol print!!!! Its the inspiration for the whole room. I really want to bring red into the room. (Even though I have enough red in the house!!!) We'll see. :)

my PINK office

Summer is now gone, and I realized how fast it has gone by. I have been so wrapped up in the remodeling of our home, that I don't feel like summer was ever here. lol Its now crunch time at my atomic ranch. We only have a feel weekends left to finish up what is needed to refinance. We are a bit stressed of course. The Masterbedroom and Bathroom is what is left. The room which we started in, is the room we will finish in. I have been decorating though.

Here is my office.

I never intended on it being so "girly", but when you paint it pink I guess its gonna happen. I collect toys from the 80's, so I was able to display my Carebears. I also love Hello Kitty. The room makes me happy. I have never had an office do that. At my last house I never could get my office "right". I feel I finally have. :) (my husband hates this room.)

I have 5 hanging over each window. It was a cheap and a fun way to decorate. It really helped to bring the pink and red color scheme together. I need more red in the room though. Its not completely done yet. I am sure I will post more photos in the future! I still have a whole blank wall to work with across from my desk. (I have plans for it.)

Living Room Video

Here is a movie that I made yesterday. Its not complete, but almost. It took me a few hours just to make this. I had so many pictures to go through. Let me know what you think. :) I think its fun to watch the changes in the living room. I made this video to put on my website for my business JD Design.

Moved into the House

I haven't posted anything to do with my house in weeks. I have lost track of the "rehab weekends", its all a bit of a blur at the moment. I will get back on track here soon. We are MOVED in now and I have taken a few pictures to share with everyone.

Moving has been ruff on my pet family.

That's my dog Muffins. Doesn't she look sleepy? Poor thing.

Here is Simon. He is liking his new home, but he has been a bit of a baby.

Simon has been crying every morning at 5:00 a.m.!!! He has been very needy.

Here is Lexey. As soon as I brought her to the house, it was as if she always lived there.

Here is Norman. He really is my "baby". He is so sweet and well behaved.

The cats really needed more space. They have been alone all summer because of the house. Its great to have them here with us.

Here is Barrett. He is already enjoying the red rugs in the dining room. lol


Last week I spent alot of time getting my office together. Unpacking and organizing takes lots of time. Here is a few details of some of my decorating. I am not going to post alot of pictures till I get the rooms DONE.

Its a very PINK and HAPPY space. Great place for me to relax and design.

We finally have pulls on our kitchen cabinets.

My gun vase made it into the house. :)

I wanted to get them covered in yellow or white vinyl, but don't have the money.

Here is a photo of my Andy Warhol shower curtain in our hall bath.

The hall bath has been a nightmare. Last weekend we took our first showers in the house, and found there was a puddle of water in our basement. We figured out where the leak was and are able to take showers now. Last weekend we also had to spend a day cleaning up raw sewage that had backed up from the street into our basement. This is why my posts have slowed down for the time being. I don't think anyone wants to see photos of raw sewage. lol

We have started doing small things in our master bedroom. Hopefully next weekend drywall will start going up. *fingers crossed*

Moving and No internet

This weekend we are moving into the house. I just realized today that I will not have the internet. So, of course that will make it hard to post anything, or visit other blogs. :( I hope to have it sometime next week, but I am not sure when we will have it at the house. I'll be back soon.
