BUT, you should try Antique Malls and thrift stores. I have a few great mid-century modern pieces that I have found at antique stores.

Also, these are my favorite websites that sometimes when things are on "SALE" you can get a cool piece for not to much~
www.chiasso.com
www.cb2.com
www.urbanoutfitters.com

I do buy stuff from Target also. Check Targets website. They have cooler stuff online. You might not be a "walmart" shopper, but on there website they sometimes have some modern looking bedding and decor!!! The great thing about decorating contemporary is you don't have to have alot of stuff to make the room look great. Just a few unique pieces and a focal point make it work. I hate clutter, so I don't have a lot of "stuff" out. Everything I do own is kinda on "display" and just fun to look at. :)

Thank You for stopping by my blog! Its only fun when I can help and inspire other people! :) I would love to see photos of your room when your done if you feel like sharing. :)

good luck!
JessieJessiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09125093150749941236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1452723450949689540.post-3627084413414385592009-06-30T17:14:48.501-06:002009-06-30T17:14:48.501-06:00Hi! I just painted my bedroom a pear green with a darker pear green accent wall and my furniture is contemporary black furniture. I have found and framed a Marilyn Monroe print of her backstage putting on her makeup taken by Sam Show. I just love it and I am wanting to find some more prints to hang in there too! Any suggestions on where to get modern/contemporary decor for reasonable prices besides Ikea? Thanks for your input.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1452723450949689540.post-73304596707705088772009-01-16T06:49:00.000-07:002009-01-16T06:49:00.000-07:00I like having the white tundra floor in every room...I like having the white tundra floor in every room for the "look", but I wish I would of done tile in the kitchen. I just worry about water sitting to long in one stop on the floor!!! If it gets in the cracks and sits for awhile it can destroy it. I am always being very careful. I like the look, but it does stress me out sometimes. lol ;)Jessiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09125093150749941236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1452723450949689540.post-40830965353857665322009-01-16T02:06:00.000-07:002009-01-16T02:06:00.000-07:00Hey Jessie, Just wanted to ask you..I remember you...Hey Jessie,
Just wanted to ask you..I remember you put in the TUNDRA Ikea flooring in your house- Did you guys do that in the kitchen too?
