My Atomic Ranch

My home is not really decorated like an "atomic ranch". When I started to come up with design ideas for my house, my designs were inspired mainly by POP ART. I love Andy Warhol & Roy Lichtenstein pieces. Using POP ART to inspire me to decorate my home helped me to come up with some great color combinations.



My husband and I purchased our home in May of 2007. If you drove by the house from the road you would have no idea what damage was hidden inside. The roof had fallen in over the master bedroom. This of course caused lots of water damage and black mold to start growing up the walls. The black mold was really bad in the basement under the master bedroom. It just "rained" in the house for months. The house was abandoned by the people who owned it.



My husband and I felt sorry for the home. I could see all the hidden potential. It's been over 2 years now that we have been "rehabbing" our home. The work is never done!!! There are many days where we get frustrated and regret buying it. It's home though and I hope to just keep making it a little bit better everyday! :)
